"Peter (10) finds the app very effective — he's learned more Greek through the app than French through a class at school (whoops!)"— Emily, Homeschool Mom

Journey Through the Bible

"Biblingo is being used by a 10-year-old homeschool student and it's working beautifully. Really impressed by how accessible this has made the Greek language for children to learn."

Students progress through the story of the Bible as they learn the biblical languages. After completing 12 journeys and 52 levels, your kids will be equipped to start their own journey reading through the Bible on their own in the original language.

Collect and Read Scripture Fragments

"The Biblingo app is accessible for young people and I have personally used it to expose my daughter to biblical Greek and Hebrew. My hope is that many more adults and children will avail themselves of Biblingo to get a rich experience of God's word."

for all ages

Ages 3–7

Pre-Readers

We recommend pre-readers to focus on Biblingo's listening and speaking exercises.

Ages 8–18

Readers

Once children attain literacy, they are ready to take on all aspects of language learning: listening, speaking, writing, and reading.

Ages 15–18

Advanced

Like readers, we recommend this age focuses on all aspects of language learning: listening, speaking, writing, and reading. If desired, advanced students can also include the grammar track for detailed knowledge of the languages.

Austin Curtin

My life's passion is helping students dive into Scripture in its original languages, equipping them to be "ready to give an answer for the hope that they have" (1 Peter 3:15).

My favorite activity is singing Scripture in Hebrew and Greek with my wife and our two children. I also currently teach at Grand Canyon University as an adjunct professor of education, focusing on language acquisition, literacy, and assessment coursework.

I hold a master's degree in Early Childhood Education from John Carroll University. Before joining Biblingo, I taught in Jewish education and English Language instruction. My wife and I both speak multiple languages, and we are raising our two children to speak them as well (English, Italian, Modern Greek, and Spanish).

I look forward to supporting families in reclaiming our faith's rich linguistic heritage, one student at a time. Schedule a meeting with me to chat about how Biblingo can meet your family's needs — or watch my 7-minute demo of the software.

Common Questions

Yes! If your child knows English (or any other language), they can learn Greek and Hebrew as well. The biblical languages are real languages used for communication just like any other languages, and your kids can learn them through practice.
There is no age minimum or limit to Biblingo. Because we focus on acquiring the language, your child can benefit from using Biblingo as soon as they can sit and look at pictures on a screen and hear audio playing.
Yes! Reach out and we'll share the details on how Biblingo coursework can count toward college credit.
Many formal language courses like high school Spanish employ the Grammar-Translation Method. Biblingo teaches Greek and Hebrew more like a modern language-learning app. Many of the same things are taught (vocabulary, sentences, grammar), but Biblingo's method is more conducive to learning to use the language, including reading.
At about lesson 17, we start to incorporate simplified biblical texts. At the recommended pace of about 30 minutes a day, 3 times per week, your child should reach there in about a year's time.
Of course! We have a lot of parents learning alongside their children. We recommend each user has their own account because the app is personalized, but no matter how you do it, you and your kids can learn to read the Bible in the original languages if you practice.
