Comprehensive learning journey
Biblingo begins at the very beginning (a very good place to start) — the alphabet. It then teaches your first words and how to put those words into simple sentences. Your vocabulary and grammar intuitions grow as you work through the bite-sized lessons until you start reading simple stories in your language of choice. These stories build in complexity over the lessons until, lo and behold, you are reading straight from the biblical text.
Each lesson contains multiple interactive activities that incorporate reading, listening, typing, and speaking so you can internalize the language. Images and videos of the biblical world are used throughout to help you place the language in context.
The lesson paths for Greek and Hebrew each include 52 lessons (Latin currently has 14, but will ultimately also have 52 lessons). This learning progression teaches you all the vocabulary and grammar you need to read the text of Scripture. Everything else you need to learn can be accomplished through the next feature of Biblingo (read on below)…

Biblical graded reader
As your fluency develops, you will be able to read more and more texts from Scripture in your language of choice. To do this, you can switch to the Bible reading tab in Biblingo. Here you'll find the full Hebrew Bible or Greek New Testament (Latin Vulgate coming soon) indexed by the percentage of words you know in each book or chapter. This allows you to identify which sections of the Bible are most readable so you can dive in.
The actual text is fully tagged so you can click any word to see parsing information, definitions, and a list of verses where the word is used in the Bible.

Super-powered flashcards
With Biblingo, you can practice vocabulary and grammar paradigms to your heart's content.
Generate flashcard decks for specific books and chapters of the Bible. Use other parameters such as number of occurrences and whether or not you already know the word to generate extremely specific decks. Add any words you'd like using our search feature, or add words straight from the biblical text as you read.
Whatever practice need you run into, you can probably create a flashcard deck for it! We also have preset flashcard decks for popular grammar textbooks if you are using Biblingo to supplement a class.
