Instructors of modern languages seem to know or, at least, put into practice something that most ancient language instructors do not: fluency is best achieved through immersion and repetition. I recommend it heartily to any students and especially teachers of Greek who are seeking to bridge the gap between living-language approaches and traditional grammar instruction.

This is a fantastic resource and an innovative way to learn Greek and read with real fluency rather than merely decoding with various scholarly aids. The interspersed exegetical sections are also of value on their own even beyond the demonstration of methods, making robust and sometimes novel cases for strong readings, though not all will agree with every conclusion. Highly recommended.

This book provides a detailed and linguistically informed course in NT Greek grammar, supplemented with discussions of relevant concepts from second language acquisition and linguistics. The book models an integrated approach to linguistics and Biblical studies, illustrating some of the ways in which each tradition can benefit from the insights of the other.
