Syntaxπόσος

The prototypical function of πόσος is to question the quantity of something. When used this way, πόσος agrees in number, gender, and case with the noun it modifies, and it moves with the noun to the front of the sentence:

  • (551) Questioning the quantity of something
  • καὶ πόσους κοφίνους ἐλάβετε; (Matt 16:9)
  • And how many baskets did you get?
